More than one in 10 of the new nutraceutical-type products introduced in the U.S. between May 2001 and May 2004 were indicated for cardiovascular health, according to a new report published by FunctionalFoodwire.com. “Distinguishing Your Product-Selling Nutraceuticals, Functional Foods and Dietary Supplements in an Increasingly Crowded Market: Strategies and Successes” documents hundreds of product launches that took place over the three-year period.
